Father,

I’m sure you’ll be angry with me for disobeying you again but I don’t care; I will not let you fight Leviathan alone. You need me and I will always be at your side.
Because it will be hard for me to say these words face to face, I want you to know that Mother may have given me life, but you have taught me how to live.

Love and respect
your son
Damian

homoerotics:

damian deserved to grow up and become a man who operated as a hero in his own right by his own terms, instead of serving as the tool of talia and the burden of bruce until he was offed to give bruce more excuses to angst and emotionally abuse people around him as a result of what he viewed to be personal failures

damian deserved a chance to follow in the footsteps of dick grayson, the only person to ever really give a shit about him

somethingcomics:

I finally pieced together what Damain has been doing in the sewers. We first see him in the sewers in Batman & Robin #9 searching for something in the sewers. At first, I thought he was looking for clues of his father’s whereabouts during the Court of Owls arc. But that hypothesis was proven incorrect when we see him in the sewers again in issue #13.

Then I saw issue #14 and I was so freaking confused where the hell he got that pearl from. Until I finally figured it out! I don’t know if anyone else figured it out before me, but it totally broke my heart when I realized it.

All that time, he was looking for his grandmother’s lost pearls, that were mentioned in issue #1.
